 San Diego artist Donald Baird has given me permission to feature the following drawing of a hand. I continue to be fascinated by hands, and things can do--writing, painting and drawing..
 And I wonder if there is more than a slight resemblance between the human hand and, say, an oak leaf.

The artwork that follows is a mystery. I found it on a sidewalk, a greenish paper hand. I don't know who made it--but I found it intriguing.
